A Solution To Your Disorder - Hypnotism!

By Timothy Greensland

A hypnotherapist is a practitioner of hypnosis who guides their patients into a meditative state called hypnosis. This state of hypnosis and the practice of hypnotism have been studied and researched for man years.

For some hypnotherapists, the goal of hypnotism is to move the patients mind into a state of meditation that allows them to more easily accept treatment for an underlying disorder. Only once the patient is in this state of hypnotized meditation cans one people receive the correct treatments.

Although only abut 25% of the population can be hypnotized easily, even less people, roughly 20%, cannot be hypnotized at all, according to a recent survey. Much more of the population lies in the middle with some ability to be hypnotized, and some ability to have disorders at least partially cured through hypnosis, although most people would agree it is certainly not an exact science.

The explanation above sounds a little complex, so an example is in order.

Smoking is perhaps one of the most difficult habit to give up. It is often a habit that has been held by the smoker for many years and the smoker has often tried many times to quite and has failed. During hypnotism, the smoker will first be placed into hypnosis, or a deep meditative state. Whilst in this meditative state, the negative aspects and emotions will first be thought about then the positive aspects and emotions of giving up will be though about. After w while these emotions and aspects, both negative then positive will also be verbalized by the subject. Over the course of the hypnotism sessions these emotions will be subtly changed by the hypnotherapist helping the smoker to quit smoking.

For successful treatment, the patient must continue to actively focus on the positive and negative perceptions they experienced during hypnosis after they have finished hypnosis. This can be done either on your own at home, or more effectively with repeat treatments with a qualified hypnotherapist.

Odds are you know someone who has successfully used hypnotism for a problem like giving up smoking. if it worked for them it can work for you too.

Don't let fear of the unknown or the fear of trying something new hold you back from trying a treatment that really could change your life. Many people have tried this form of therapy and found it works for them, it could work for you as well. - 31985

John Grinder And Development Of Neuro Linguistic Programming

By Ingrid Preube

Before co-founding Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) with Dr. Richard Bandler, John Grinder obtained a degree in psychology from the University of San Francisco and a PhD in Linguistics from the University of California in San Diego on the late 1960's and early 1970's. As well as obtaining his education, he also served as a captain in the Special Forces then later worked for the US Intelligence Agency.

John Grinder is a specialist in the area of syntax in the broader field of linguistics. He has published many works, On Deletion Phenomena in English (1972) and Guide to Transformational Grammar (1973) being two of the most exceptional works. John was later appointed as a professor of Linguistics at the University of San Francisco in Santa Cruz.

After being invited to participate in therapy groups with psychology student Richard Bandler, John became aware of linguistic patterns used by the therapists. John went on to co-found Neuro Linguistic Programming with Bandler.

Neuro Linguistic Programming was largely based on the language patterns used effectively by the hypnotherapist Milton H. Erickson and therapists Virginia Satir and Fritz Perls and the theory of transformation grammar. Based on this John Grinder and Richard Bandler came up with the model of Neuro Linguistic Programming.

John has also co-written many other pieces about the theoretical basis and practical uses of NLP. This was after developing the model of Neuro Linguistic Programming further, partly based on the publications of the therapists above.

Many people in the world can attribute their personal and professional success to the self-confidence given to them by the techniques the learned from NLP. They found that the Neuro Linguistic Programming model helped them to obtain certain qualities required to be successful in the competitive modern world.

NPL teaches techniques that enable you to enhance the positive aspects of your mind to further achieve your goals. The self improvement techniques detailed in NLP will also help you analyze the people around you including their personality. It will also enable you to co-ordinate your words, feelings thoughts and behavior to achieve your best results.

Using NLP you will be able to align your words and actions and this will help you to get your message across to your target audience in a far more effective and direct way. - 31985
